Update: Data Intelligence, NBC + Nielsen

Mediaweek reports:

“Theoretically, the media industry will be able to glean such insights as how many viewers are actually streaming full-length series on NBC’s site these days, and whether more fans are inclined to view episodes of shows like Heroes on the Web versus summer reality shows like Celebrity Circus—or vice versa.”

This follows the Google method of providing access to raw data for the buyers to determine their own course. When in doubt, show it all, it seems. I think the process already underway by Nielsen and their “fusion” project is a more successful approach, as they are the “experts” of this data. Maybe they didn’t allow/offer NBC to provide the same level or service?
