wise elephant, making it happen

Sumner to the rescue?

It’s about time some of the power-players are taking up copyright issues as part of their talking points. We Wise Elephant folks are strongly behind protecting the copyrights of artists/creators/musicians, whomever wants to be protected, should be. I’m all for file-sharing if the artist wants their files to be shared, otherwise in my mind (jason at wiseelephant) it’s theft. As Mr. Redstone points out:

…most aspiring novelists do not aspire to self-publish. You cannot make it as a musician, you can’t make it as a filmmaker or a writer without … effective and enforced copyright legislation…The time and effort spent creating and the months spent producing, marketing and distributing content is an investment; it is not intended to be a donation.

Amen. From Forbes.
