Casey McKinnon, Actress: Self Portrait Series #8

We love the self-portrait, connecting visually with a real person, freckles and all, when so much online is text, icon or avatar based. Casey is an actress, and the images reflect this intent. She’s also created a Flikr group of self-portrait peers, which we view daily.
We also admire her ingenuity. She takes her “b-roll” images and turns them into brief videos on a monthly basis. Although this idea was made very popular by Noah, her videos let us into her person a little, like watching people in the park, or from a sidewalk cafe. The world needs more sidewalk cafes, we need to see each other a little bit more than we all do now. Thanks Casey! (click the image below to see the series she put together for Wise Elephant)…
