Piper Jaffray & Co., the research company predicts online ad spending to keep going up and up, at $80 Billion by 2011:

Higher growth rates at the close of 2006 are one factor, but the research firm points to the people as the true driving force. As more consumers take the reins when it comes to controlling their media diets, and spend more time online and creating their own content, advertisers will continue to boost online budgets.

The Financial TimesĀ  reports on a different study by Adams Media Research:

The study forecasts video-downloading revenues to reach $4.1 billion a year by 2011
